Welcome to my first blog, it is so exciting to think that people all over the world will be reading this!

What is Women Only Travel about?

I have a dream, a vision that all women of the world can reach out to each other in friendship and safety. I know this is not an unusual dream, there are some amazing women’s charities out there that show it is a common vision. I am unable to contribute in a way that I would like so Women Only Travel was born.  It is a new international home swap club for women to swap homes for a vacation/holiday with other women around the world, anywhere in the world.

The first six months of joining the club is free then it is £49 per year with £1 of every membership going to WomenFor Women.  Have a look at their website and see the incredible work they do, it is very humbling.  If you know of a charity that is equally deserving (I know there are many) then let me know and we will consider it for a donation.

Went to Goa in January and stayed in a little shack on the beach for one night, this is a picture of it.  Absolute bliss going to sleep listening to the waves. If anyone in Goa would like to swap with me then get in touch!

So…….. perhaps you are vegetarian and would like to know that the fridge of your home swap partner has not had meat in it. Perhaps you have children and would like to know that there will be a bedroom with a crib/toys/books and games. Perhaps you are a group of women who would like to visit a city for the culture or the night life. Perhaps you are single and just want to swap or stay with someone and feel safe.

Security is paramount for the members and one of the requirements is that you have a Skype account (it is free and easy to set up) and that you have several conversations where you can see each other. The membership area will also only be accessed with a pin number that is given once you have been verified (passport or driving licence).

The links pages will have some women’s charities where you may feel you can help in some way. There will be a donation from each membership, what do you think? Please email me and let me know if you would like a particular charity included and why.

After spending nearly six months designing the website, working out what SEO and IP and all the rest mean, after getting friends and family to proof read and test drive the site, I am now the point where I am looking for women to list their homes, this is where you come in…………….

PLEASE DON’T HOLD BACK AND NOT WANT TO BE THE FIRST TO SHOW AT THE PARTY!!!!!

I know that ladies all over the world, Russia – Malaysia – Korea – America – Canada – Australia – New Zealand etc are looking, google analytics tells me so.  What I would like to do is invite you to contact me with any questions through the ‘contact us’ page or just plunge right in and fill in the form.  The first six months is FREE!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - I am looking for women all over the world to help me out as volunteer greeters. It is nerve wracking for some, landing in a new country and trying to find your way around, so if you would like to be a Women Only Travel Greeter then please email me asap.

Once we have some members I will then organise a forum, add more links, email out a regular newsletter, organise get togethers and invite the members to help the club to evolve and grow organically, but I need YOUR HELP to do this.  I am contacting various women’s groups all over the world but I think it will be word of mouth, yours.
